Fuel Grade Wood Chip / Biomass - We provide woodchip for woodchip boilers. It is graded to limit the size of the chip and has moisture content below 30%. It can be delivered in bulk amounts or tonne sacks.

Contract Chipping / Biomass Harvesting - If you have a boiler and a source of wood for it, but need it chipping we can come and chip it for you. Our chipper is crane or manually fed and grades the chip on exit from the machine.

Firewood - We provide split, dry seasoned firewood, delivered by the trailer load or in bags.

Thinning for Biomass - We are now conducting forestry thinning operations. For 1st thinning we fell lines of trees and leave them where they fall for 1 or 2 summers. This brings the moisture content down to the required level. The trees are then chipped whole in the forest and the chip is removed for sale. Chip brings a better price than pulp wood, the normal product produced from 1st thinning. Also the whole tree is used, not just the main stem. With this method there is no need for an expensive harvester or it's transport costs. The second year we use a 13 tonne excavator fiteed with a tree sheer to conduct selective thinning through out the rest of the plantation, again leaving the trees whole to be chipped after 1 summer. This method can produce some profit for the owner, compared to traditional methods, which are unlikely to breakeven.
